About Yoga 101 with Jeanie

Yoga 101

I know for many of us our New Year’s resolutions are focused on improving our physical condition, getting in touch with our bodies, and recommitting to a regular, healthful yoga practice! I also know that if you are new to yoga or have not been practicing regularly, it can be daunting to jump right back into classes and start (or restart) your personal practice. To help you get off to the right start in 2012, I will be teaching a Yoga 101 Workshop this January 14th. In this two hour workshop, we will explore some of the basic postures, breathing and meditation techniques that make up the practice of Hatha yoga. Students will leave with a basic understanding of proper alignment and technique. They will be prepared for most beginner and all-level yoga classes. Yoga is appropriate for just about anyone. You don’t need to be flexible or be able to quiet the mind. You simply need the desire to show up and do your best. This is a great opportunity for any of your friends who have always wanted to join you in class but have felt intimidated by their lack of experience. Experienced students who would like to review the basics are also most welcome!

To ensure you put your new yoga skills into action and further digest what you’ve learned, the tuition for the workshop includes attendance to my Sunday morning classes on January 15 and January 22nd. Hit the ground running with your resolution for a regular, year-round yoga practice!

Tuition:
$35 pre-registered
